  • Along with "Park Slope Minstrel Show," discussion has begun to film two other C:10 plays "Casey229" by Elin Hampton and "Dead Monkey" by Mark Borkowski. Any member wanting to join the team to help get these films made and begin fundraising please contact CollectiveNYFilms@gmail.com

 

2 // KEEP UP with MEMBER UPDATES

  • Final week to see THE PROFANE at Playwrights Horizons featuring Ensemble Member Francis Benhamou. THE PROFANE closes its extended run this Sunday 5/7 -- its 62nd performance.

  • Ensemble Member Lacy Marie Meyer signed with Media Artists Group.
     
  • "American Fargo," a feature film in which Ensemble Member Lacy Marie Meyer appears, won Best Feature at London Independent Film Awards. Fellow Ensemble Member Swann Gruen, Member Nic DiPierro and colleague Sat Charn Fox make appearances, as well.
     
  • The film "Beneath Fiery Skies" featuring Ensemble Member Chris Beetem will have its world premiere at this years Cannes Film Festival.
     
  • "Snatched," produced by Ensemble Members Amy Schumer and Kevin Kane will have its world premiere in Los Angeles next Wednesday 5/10.
     
  • Comedian Mark Normand's special "Don't Be Yourself" premieres on Comedy Central Friday, May 12th. The special was produced by Ensemble Members Amy Schumer and Kevin Kane. Mark Normand was one of the comedians that performed at our C:10 COMEDY in December 2015.

  • Ensemble Member Booker Garrett appears in the award-winning short "Open Roads," a relevant story about mental illness and family, written and directed by Mimi Jeffries and produced by Collective colleague Joseph Mazella. Watch the short on VIMEO here.

3 // THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX and GET SOME FACE TIME

  • Ensemble Member Michael Abbott Jr. has found an opportunity we could apply for in the near future. A project can be submitted to be considered for viewing this summer in the Amphitheater on the water in Williamsburg. It is a not a money-making venture, but would be a lot of exposure. If anyone has any ideas/proposals for what we could perform there, hop to it and send them to thecollective9@gmail.com. 
    Deadline for proposals: May 30th.
  • The Collective Membership Committee weekly meeting is Mondays from 6-7pm, prior to the Monday session, in the Collective office. The doors are always open for any Member to participate. Ask questions, complain, compliment, give feedback, get more information about Collective activities, process, procedures, etc. -- anything. Check in with us.
